Kedarnath Badrinath Yatra

The Badrinath Kedarnath Yatra that together forms the Do Dham Yatra take you to the Himalayan valleys of Uttarakhand where the famous Badrinath Temple and Kedarnath Temple respectively can be visited. And then the pilgrims make their start to Kedarnath Temple to start their Do Dham Yatra. The Kedarnath Dham Temple is basically devoted to Lord Shiva. The temple is being elevated at an altitude of 3584 m above the sea level near the Mandakini River. It’s undoubtedly a very popular destination where huge amounts of pilgrims make their visit to receive blessings of the Almighty Shiva and according to a legend it is one of the twelve jyotirlingas of Kedar out of almost 200 shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva in Rudraprayag district.

Badrinath Dham where the meditative shrine of Lord Vishnu can mesmerize you completely. The Badrinath Temple has great significance in Yatra since it reflects the dedication to mankind. It is being believed that Lord Vishnu meditated under the Badri Tree for 1000 continuous years for the welfare of mankind and followed by that the Badrinath Temple was being created to visit Lord Vishnu’s distinct images. The town of Badrinath lies between Nar and Naryana mountain ranges and in the shadow of Nilkantha peak, 301 km north of Rishikesh at Chamoli district. The town is located at an elevation of 3,133mts above sea level on the left bank of Alakananda River.

Day 01: Delhi - Haridwar (230 Km / 6 to 7 hrs) 

Arrive New Delhi and we'll drive to Haridwar. On arrival at Haridwar, check in to your hotel. In the evening, proceed to Har Ki Pauri to enjoy Ganga Aarti on the banks of Ganges. Dinner and Overnight stay at Haridwar.

Day 02: Haridwar - Guptkashi (205 Km / 7 to 8 hrs)

After early morning breakfast check out from the hotel and drive for Guptkashi. On arrival check in at hotel. Rest of the day free to explore the Guptkashi town. Dinner and Overnight stay in Guptkashi hotel/Camps.

Day 03: Guptkashi - Sonprayag - Kedarnath (30 Km + 20 Km trek)

Early morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Sonprayag. From where, you will start your 20 km trek to Kedarnath. You can hire a Doli or a horse, for your trek (Cost Not Included). Mandakini, one of the main tributaries of the Ganges originates at Kedarnath and flows through Gaurikund. Trudging with you are pilgrims chanting "Jai Bholenath." Sometimes the mist would envelop the mountains and slowly lift away, revealing a shiny blinding-white peak that threatens to rupture the skies. On arrival check in at Govt. Camps/Lodges. Dinner and Overnight at Govt. Camps/Lodges. 

Day 04: Kedarnath - Sonprayag - Guptkashi (20 Km trek + 30 Km drive)

Early morning you get up before dawn and after taking bath you are at the temple by 4:45 am for the 'Abhishek’ to Kedarnath Shiva. Everyone can go inside Garbha Griha and touch the idol. You can also prostrate with your head touching the deity etc. After darshan and puja you come out of the temple and return to the Govt. Camps / Lodges. Later you'll start the return trek of 20 km from Kedarnath to 
Sonprayag. The vehicles wait for you in Sonprayag Car Parking and you’ll drive to your hotel. Dinner and Overnight at Guptkashi. 

Day 05: Guptkashi - Joshimath - Badrinath (190 Km / 7 to 8 hrs)

This morning, you check out of the hotel at 08:00 am and drive to Badrinath via Joshimath. After driving through some wonderful Ghat road you arrive at Badrinath. On arrival check into the hotel. After some rest and refreshments you are all set to go to Badrinath Temple for darshan in the evening. But first you have to go to Tapt Kund (Hot Spring), take bath and then go to the temple. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the temple of Shri Badrinath Ji is 15 meters in height, built in the form of a cone with a small cupola of a gilt bull and spire. Later back to hotel. Dinner and Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 06: Badrinath - Rudraprayag/Srinagar (165 Km / 5 to 6 hrs)

This morning, go for Badrinath darshan. After darshan return back to hotel, breakfast at hotel and proceed for Badrinath local sightseeing visit Mana Village, Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa, and Mata Murti temple. Afternoon driver back to Rudraprayag via Karanprayag. Rudraprayag is a small pilgrim town on the holy confluence of river Alaknanda and Mandakini. On arrival check in at hotel. Rest of the day free to explore the Rudraprayag town. Dinner and Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 07: Rudraprayag/Srinagar - Rishikesh - Haridwar (160 Km / 5 to 6 hrs)

Early morning, after breakfast, you drive downhill to Rishikesh a spiritual city and the Yoga capital of the world. On reaching Rishikesh you'll do the Rishikesh sightseeing visit Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula. Evening drive to Haridwar. On arrival check in at hotel. Dinner and Overnight stay at hotel. 

Day 08: Haridwar - Delhi (230 Km / 6 to 7 hrs)

Morning breakfast at hotel, and you are on your last lap of this Chardham Yatra journey. Drive back to Delhi. On reaching Delhi transfer to Railway Station / Airport.

Every evening at dusk, Har Ki Pauri transforms into an awe-inspiring sensory spectacle during the world-famous Maha Ganga Aarti. Chants of Sanskrit mantras, rhythmic clanging of temple bells, and blowing of conch shells reverberate across the river as priests hoist towering multi-tiered brass oil lamps. Thousands of floating leaf diyas (diyas filled with marigold petals and camphor) illuminate the emerald river, creating a magical floating constellation on the water.

3. Maa Mansa Devi Temple (Bilwa Parvat & Udan Khatola Ropeway)

Perched atop the Bilwa Parvat hill on the Shivalik range, the Maa Mansa Devi Temple is a revered Siddhapeeth dedicated to Goddess Mansa, the sister of serpent Vasuki and wish-fulfilling deity born from Sage Kashyap's mind. Pilgrims tie a sacred holy thread to the branches of the temple's ancient wish tree and untie it once their prayer is answered. Accessible via a scenic 3 km hilltop trek or the popular Udan Khatola cable car ropeway offering sweeping views of the Ganges plain.

4. Maa Chandi Devi Temple (Neel Parvat Siddhapeeth)

Standing on the opposite bank atop Neel Parvat, Chandi Devi Temple was established in the 8th century by Adi Shankaracharya and constructed in 1929 by the King of Kashmir, Suchat Singh. Legend holds that Goddess Chandi rested here after slaying the demon generals Chanda and Munda. Devotees combine visits to Mansa Devi and Chandi Devi using the integrated combined ropeway pass.

5. Maa Maya Devi Temple (51 Shakti Peethas & Mayapuri Guardian)

Dating back to the 11th century, the Maa Maya Devi Temple is one of the most sacred 51 Shakti Peethas, where the heart and navel of Goddess Sati are believed to have fallen. Revered as the Adhisthatri (patron deity) of Haridwar, this ancient stone temple forms the sacred Siddhapeeth Triangle along with Mansa Devi and Chandi Devi.

6. Daksha Mahadev Temple & Sati Kund (Historic Kankhal)

Located 4 km south in the historic town of Kankhal, Daksha Mahadev Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and marks the mythological site of King Daksha Prajapati's grand Yagna, where Goddess Sati sacrificed herself in the sacred sacrificial fire pit (Yagna Kund). The nearby Sati Kund remains a poignant pilgrimage stop surrounded by centuries-old banyan trees.

7. Bharat Mata Mandir & Shanti Kunj Spiritual University

Inaugurated by Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in 1983, the unique 8-story Bharat Mata Mandir rises 180 feet, dedicated to the spirit of Mother India and showcasing freedom fighters, saints, divine women, and Indian cultural unity. Just down the road lies Shanti Kunj, the international headquarters of All World Gayatri Pariwar, renowned for its Gayatri Yagnas, spiritual research, herbal nurseries, and free Vedic education.

8. Pawan Dham & Vaishno Devi Replica Temple

Known for its dazzling mirror work and glass mosaic art, Pawan Dham is a modern temple complex where walls, pillars, and ceilings are intricately encrusted with thousands of imported glass prisms reflecting colorful deities. Nearby, the Vaishno Devi Temple replica replicates the famous holy cave shrine of Jammu with artificial tunnels, rocky paths, and natural waterfalls.

9. Rajaji National Park (Chilla Safari Zone - 12 km)
