Patanjali Yogpeeth is a premier global institution for yoga and Ayurvedic research founded in 2006 by Swami Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna near Haridwar. Named after the ancient sage Maharishi Patanjali, who compiled the Yoga Sutras, this massive wellness university promotes traditional holistic healing across Uttarakhand.
The institution is divided into two vast adjoining campuses: Patanjali Yogpeeth Phase 1 and Phase 2. Phase 1 houses the central Ayurvedic hospital, OPD consultation centers, and ancient medicine research laboratories. Phase 2 features a colossal 5,000 capacity yoga auditorium, residential guest cottages, and Panchakarma wellness centers.
Visitors can consult certified Ayurvedic vaidyas, stroll through herbal medicinal plantations, and shop for authentic herbal health products, natural cosmetics, and organic food staples at the on campus superstore.
Free daily morning yoga training classes are held inside the main hall. Affordable accommodation and organic vegetarian sattvic meals are provided to enrolled wellness seekers.
