Doodhadhari Barfani Temple is an exquisite white marble religious sanctuary located inside the Barfani Dham ashram complex in Bhupatwala near Haridwar. Built entirely from gleaming white Makrana marble, this spiritual monument stands out for its delicate stone carvings and sacred ambiance in Uttarakhand.
The temple complex was established under the spiritual guidance of Doodhadhari Barfani Baba, a revered Himalayan ascetic known to have lived purely on milk and water. The sanctum holds artistically sculpted shrines dedicated to Lord Rama, Goddess Sita, Lord Lakshmana, and Lord Hanuman.
A separate grand chamber within the temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Durga. The clean marble courtyards, detailed wall reliefs depicting scenes from Ramayana, and lush garden surroundings make it a favored retreat for spiritual seekers and art admirers.
The temple shines brilliantly in midday sunlight and is softly illuminated during evening aarti. Pilgrims can sit silently in the marble halls to meditate or join the melodious bhajans.
