Snow View Point

Snow View Point is one of the most famous and easily accessible mountain vantage points in Nainital, perched at an altitude of 2,270 meters on the Sher ka Danda ridge. Connected directly to Mallital via a thrilling aerial ropeway cable car, it commands sweeping views across the snow clad Greater Himalayan range.

The viewpoint provides visitors with high powered binoculars and viewing telescopes to gaze across the 350 kilometer Himalayan horizon, bringing the sharp snow spires of Nanda Devi (India's second highest peak), Trishul, and Nanda Kot into crystal clear view.

Aerial Ropeway, Children Amusement, and Temple Shrines

The aerial ropeway journey from Mallital takes approximately 3 minutes, gliding high above the emerald green waters of Naini Lake and forested hillsides. Alternatively, visitors can reach the summit via a scenic 3 kilometer motorable road or by hiring local horses and ponies.

At the top, the complex features a small amusement park for children with go karts and shooting games, handicraft souvenir stalls, and food cafes serving steaming hot tea and snacks. A small stone temple dedicated to Lord Rama, Sita, Lakshman, and Hanuman sits near the observation deck.
