Panch Dhara and Panch Shila are a sacred cluster of five holy mountain springs and five colossal mythological boulders located around the holy township of Badrinath at an elevation of 3,133 meters (10,279 feet) in Uttarakhand. Revered in ancient Vedic literature and the Skanda Purana, these sacred rock formations and natural water channels surround the sanctum of Badrinath Temple, serving as traditional sites for ritual purification and ancestral pitra tarpan.
