During winter months between December and March, thick snow turns the valley slopes into a natural ski resort, offering amateur lessons, snowboarding, and snowmobile rides. As the snow melts in summer, the lush grasslands host paragliding gliders, quad biking, horse riding, and giant zorbing balls rolling down gentle slopes.
A state of the art passenger ropeway transports travelers up to Mount Phatru at 10,500 feet for sweeping panoramic views of the Pir Panjal mountain range. The Atal Tunnel south portal is only a few minutes drive past the valley, making it easy to combine both attractions into one single day excursion.
