The Legend of Mystic Saint Poetess Mirabai

Born a Rajput princess of Kudki and married into the royal house of Mewar, Mirabai rejected worldly palace riches to devote her entire existence to Lord Krishna, whom she considered her eternal divine consort.

Despite intense royal persecution following the death of her husband, including attempts to poison her with a cup of venom (charanamrit) that miraculously turned to nectar, Mirabai's unwavering devotion triumphed, making this temple the birthplace of timeless Indian devotional literature.
