Poovar Island (celebrated for its golden sandspit beach, floating cottages, and mangrove estuaries), situated at the southernmost coastal tip of Trivandrum in Kerala, is one of India's most extraordinary, romantic, and visually dramatic backwater meets-sea ecological wonders.
