Padinharekara Beach (celebrated across Kerala as the pristine Azhimukham estuary where two legendary rivers unite with the Arabian Sea), situated at the western coastal tip of Tirur taluk just 35 km southwest of Malappuram town and 17 km from Tirur in Kerala, is one of Malabar's most dramatic, scenic, and peaceful coastal eco tourism sanctuaries.

The Sacred Azhimukham Confluence & Sandspits

Standing at the confluence point, visitors witness the contrasting currents of River Nila and Tirur River blending with the ocean waves across shifting sandy shoals.

During low tide, vast sandbars emerge in the river mouth, allowing travelers to walk hundreds of meters into the estuary surrounded by shallow sparkling waters on both sides.

Truth is, strolling barefoot along the breezy sandspit while waves crash gently on one side and river waters glide on the other is an absolute delight.
