Realizing it was Goddess Parvathi in her compassionate Kiratha huntress aspect, Shankaracharya consecrated the spot without placing a stone murti, establishing a direct conduit of cosmic motherly grace.

Muttarukkal & Poomoodal Sacred Offerings

The Muttarukkal Ritual: Devotees offer coconuts de husked by temple staff, which the priest cuts in half before the sanctum; clean equal halves signify total eradication of specified personal obstacles.

Poomoodal Floral Garland: Considered the highest offering, only one Poomoodal is performed per day where the sanctum is covered entirely in fresh red Chethi flowers (requires advance booking).
