Idukki Arch Dam

Idukki Arch Dam (celebrated globally as Asia's premier double curvature parabolic concrete arch dam and India's greatest landmark of hydroelectric structural engineering), majestically spanning the narrow granite gorge between the legendary Kuravan and Kurathi hills across the Periyar River in Cheruthoni just 5 km from Idukki town in Kerala, is one of the world's most monumental, impressive, and celebrated civil engineering wonders.
