Hill View Park

Hill View Park (celebrated across Kerala as the premier aerial vantage point offering a simultaneous bird's eye view of both the colossal Idukki Arch Dam and Cheruthoni Dam), situated atop a 350 foot sheer cliff in Cheruthoni just 2 km from Idukki town in Kerala, is one of the state's most beautifully landscaped, family friendly, and photogenic highland garden lookouts.

Sprawling across nearly 8 acres of manicured hillside knolls overlooking the deep reservoir gorge 350 feet below, Hill View Park was developed by the District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC) to provide tourists with an unobstructed panoramic platform where the grand parabolic curvature of the Idukki Arch Dam on one side and the massive concrete ramparts of Cheruthoni Dam on the other can be admired in a single panoramic sweep.

It's the home of an artificial natural boating waterbody where visitors enjoy tranquil pedal boating amidst blossoming water lilies, terraced botanical gardens filled with flowering shrubs and medicinal flora, high powered watchtowers equipped with binoculars for spotting wild elephant and gaur herds roaming along the reservoir shoreline, children's amusement play areas with swings and slides, thrilling zipline rides soaring across the valley, shaded gazebos and paved walking promenades, and the cool refreshing hill breezes that sweep across the 350 foot cliff edge throughout the day.

Located in Cheruthoni directly on the road to Idukki Arch Dam, it sits just 1.5 km from Cheruthoni town center, 6 km from Painavu district headquarters, 16 km from Kattappana, 45 km from Munnar, 110 km from Kottayam Railway Station (KTYM), and 115 km from Cochin International Airport (COK), easily accessible by town buses, auto rickshaws, and private cabs.
