Located 22 kilometers northeast of Shimla at an altitude of 2,200 meters, Naldehra And Shaily Peak represents one of the most scenic alpine clearings in Himachal Pradesh. Famous for housing one of India's oldest 9 hole golf courses established in 1905 by British Viceroy Lord Curzon, the rolling green links are bordered by gigantic deodar and cedar woodlands.
Rising above the golf meadows, Shaily Peak offers a rewarding 8 kilometer trekking trail through dense pine forests starting from Khatnol village near the river basin. The summit provides sweeping 360 degree vistas of the Sutlej River valley and snow tipped Greater Himalayan peaks in the distance.
