Bhalu Dam is a semi natural lake and heritage masonry reservoir located about 3 kilometers beyond Chaubatia, roughly 11 kilometers from Ranikhet. Built in 1903 by the British Viceroy to supply drinking water to British troops stationed in the cantonment, this stone barrage stands as a remarkable colonial engineering relic.
