Chaukhamba View Point

Chaukhamba View Point is a premier Himalayan vantage point situated at an elevation of 1,814 meters (5,950 feet) on a tranquil forested crest, located roughly 4 kilometers from Pauri town in Uttarakhand. Perched along the scenic Kandolia ridge, this scenic viewpoint is named after its spectacular, direct front row vista of the colossal four pillared Chaukhamba massif (7,138 meters) soaring across the northern horizon.

Surrounded by dense oak, pine, and scarlet rhododendron forests, the viewpoint terrace overlooks the sweeping Idwalsyun valley, where terraced agricultural steps and misty mountain hamlets descend towards Srinagar Garhwal. On clear autumn and winter mornings, visitors are treated to an unbroken 300 kilometer panorama of Himalayan giants, including Trishul, Nanda Devi, Kedarnath, and Bandarpoonch. Stone paved walking trails, wooden gazebos, and picnic lawns make it a favored retreat for nature walks and photography.
