Package Itinerary

Day 01: Delhi - Haridwar ( 230 Kms- 7 Hours)

Pickup from Delhi Railway Station/Airport, drive to Haridwar, on arrival check in to your hotel. Evening you will visit ashrams and temples- mansa devi and chamunda devi etc & witness aarti of the holy river ganges. Night stay in haridwar.

Day 02: Haridwar - Mussoorie ( 90Kms- 3 Hours)

After breakfast check out to hotel and depart to Mussoorie En- route visit Dehradun, Rishikesh Ram Jhoola, Laxman Jhoola and proceed to Haridwar. Late afternoon arrive in Mussoorie & check in at your hotel. Evening at leisure. Overnight at the hotel

Day 03: Mussoorie - Local sightseeing

After breakfast excursion to Dhanaulti which is 33 kms away and to the ancient mountain top shrine of Surkhanda Devi, climbing upto 9700 feet / 2940 meters. Deodar and Pine Trees, beautiful valleys, snow capped mountains. Also visit the famous Kemtey fall, evening enjoy at mall road, back to the hotel. Overnight at Mussoorie.

Day 04: Mussoorie - Corbett ( 300 Kms- 9 Hours)

After breakfast check out from hotel then drive to Corbett National Park. The park was named after Jim Corbett, the legendary hunter - naturalist turned author and photographer who spent most years of his life in this area and helped set up this park. Check- in to your hotel/resort. Evening free for sightseeing covering Garjia temple and Corbett fall. Overnight stay in Corbett.

Day 05: Corbett Park - Jeep Safari

Early morning enjoy jungle safari at the Corbett National Park (at your own cost). Return to the resort for breakfast. In the afternoon, visit Corbett Wildlife Museum, Dhikala which offers an awesome uninterrupted panoramic view of the valley. Back to the resort. Overnight at the hotel.

Corbett Tiger Reserve: India's first national park, cradled in the foothills of the Himalayas at 3300 feet asl, spreads over an area of 520 sq km. The magnificent Ramganga River flows through the entire length of the Park. Corbett has the highest density of tiger in India. Other carnivores include the leopard, elephant, bear, deer. Basking along the banks of the Ramganga are the slender snouted gharial and the marsh crocodile. There are watch towers, elephant safaris and jeep safaris for wildlife viewing.

Day 06: Corbett – Kausani (Approx 241 km/ 5 hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Kausani. Kausani is ideal for those who seek to escape from the din and dust, hustle and bustle of big cities and wish to spend a quiet holiday in the lap of nature. Check in Hotel. After fresh up visit Sun set at View Point, Gandhi Ji Ashram. Over Night Stay in Hotel.

Day 07: Kausani

Day at Leisure or visit local sightseeing i.e. Baijnath & Bageshwar. Over Night Stay in Hotel.

Day 08: Kausani – Nainital (132 Kms- 3 Hours)

After breakfast depart for Nainital by road. On arrival, check in to the hotel. After refreshing yourself at the hotel in Nainital, go on a sightseeing tour, beginning with boating on the famous Naini Lake (at your own cost) and visit to the holy Naina Devi Temple. After that, visit famous tourist spots like Naina Peak, SnowView and Lands End etc. In the evening, enjoy shopping at the Mall Road. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 09: Nainital - Local sightseeing

After breakfast drive for lake tour of Bhimtal, Sattal, Naukuchiatal. Drive back to Hotel, Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 10: Nainital - Delhi( 320 Kms- 9 Hours)

Morning drive to Delhi (320 kms / 9 hrs). Arrive Delhi in time Board Flight / Train for onward journey.

How to reach Mussoorie

Mussoorie is one of the most accessible hill stations in northern India, easily reached by air, rail, and road from major hubs:

  • By Air: Jolly Grant Airport (DED) in Dehradun is the closest airport, located about 54 km south. Regular domestic flights connect Dehradun to Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad. Prepaid airport taxis reach Mussoorie in about two hours for roughly Rs 1,800 to 2,200.
  • By Train: Dehradun Railway Station (DDN) is the primary railhead, located 34 km downhill. Major express trains include the Dehradun Vande Bharat Express, Shatabdi Express, and Nanda Devi Express. Taxis and shared buses wait right outside the station concourse.
  • By Road: Mussoorie connects through well maintained highways via NH 307 and Rajpur Road. Uttarakhand Transport Corporation (UTC) operates frequent buses from Dehradun ISBT and Railway Station. The scenic uphill drive takes seventy five to ninety minutes through winding mountain curves.

You can easily expand your mountain holiday by exploring neighboring destinations like Dehradun, the yoga hub of Rishikesh, and spiritual ghats of Haridwar across scenic Uttarakhand.

Places to Visit In Mussoorie

Mussoorie offers a diverse mix of colonial heritage walks, mountain waterfalls, scenic viewpoints, and peaceful pine trails across the Garhwal ridge:

1. Kempty Falls

Dropping forty feet over tiered rock faces, Kempty Falls sits fifteen kilometers down the Tehri road. John Mekinan opened this spot to travelers in the 1830s for summer picnics. You will find natural plunge pools at the bottom, though midday weekends get packed.

2. Gun Hill Point

Gun Hill is the second highest point in Mussoorie, rising 2,024 meters above sea level. In colonial times, a cannon fired every day at noon to help residents set their pocket watches. The 400 meter ropeway ride from Mall Road offers sweeping views across Kedarnath and Badrinath peaks.

3. Lal Tibba Scenic Viewpoint

Sitting at 2,275 meters in Landour, Lal Tibba is the highest point in the municipal belt. A high powered telescope mounted on a rooftop terrace brings distant Himalayan massifs into sharp focus. Morning hours before ten deliver the clearest skies.

4. The Mall Road Promenade

Stretching roughly two kilometers between Picture Palace and Library Chowk, the Mall Road forms the town social heart. Colonial lampposts, open benches, vintage bakeries, and woolen shops flank the entire promenade. Vehicular entry stays banned during evening hours, making it perfect for strolling.

5. George Everest House and Laboratory

Sir George Everest, Surveyor General of India, lived and worked in this park estate between 1832 and 1843. The restored white mansion sits atop a dramatic ridge overlooking the Aglar River valley on one side and Doon Valley on the other. It is an outstanding spot for picnics and golden hour sunsets.

6. Company Garden and Municipal Park

Curated by Dr. Hugh Falconer in the nineteenth century, Company Garden showcases hundreds of colorful seasonal flowers, ornamental hedges, and an artificial waterfall. A modest boating pond and glass greenhouse make it very popular with traveling families.

7. Cloud's End and Benog Wildlife Sanctuary

Marking the geographical western boundary of Mussoorie, Cloud's End sits inside thick oak and deodar woodlands. Built by a British officer in 1838, the heritage bungalow marks the trailhead into Benog Wildlife Sanctuary. Watch for Himalayan monals, barking deer, and red billed blue magpies along the shaded trail.

8. Camel's Back Road and Sunset Point

This three kilometer loop circles below Kulri Bazaar, named after a natural rocky outcrop resembling a camel hump. It remains one of Mussoorie quietest walking trails, framed by pine trees and mountain air. Horse rides and open air benches let you soak in fiery Himalayan sunsets.

9. Landour Heritage Walk and Char Dukan

Landour retains a quiet cantonment feel with deodar canopy, tin roofed cottages, and stone paths. Char Dukan, a cluster of four heritage tea stalls beside St. Paul's Church, serves ginger lemon honey tea, hot waffles, and cheese omelettes. Drop by the Landour Bakehouse for apple pies and cinnamon buns.

10. Bhatta Falls and Jharipani Trekking Route

Bhatta Falls features natural mountain cascades with freshwater pools, ropeway access, and swimming sections. Further down near Barlowganj, Jharipani Falls offers a quiet woodland trek through terraced hillsides. It connects smoothly when driving back towards Dehradun, Rishikesh, or Haridwar.
