Located on a scenic pine clad hillside roughly 1.5 kilometers from the main bazaar in Gwaldam in Chamoli district, the Buddhist Khamba Temple (Boudh Mandir) is a serene Tibetan gompa in Uttarakhand. Established in the early 1960s by Tibetan Khampa refugees who settled across the high ridges along the Garhwal Kumaon border, the monastery reflects authentic Himalayan Vajrayana Buddhist traditions.

Fluttering multicolored prayer flags (Lungta) line the peaceful courtyard, sending auspicious blessings across the valley. The main prayer hall houses a gilded statue of Lord Shakyamuni Buddha, flanked by intricate Thangka scroll paintings depicting Buddhist deities, mandalas, and copper prayer wheels that visitors spin clockwise during circumambulations.
The monastery grounds offer quiet meditation corners where the rhythmic chanting of lamas and sound of ceremonial horn trumpets resonate through morning prayers. From the temple terrace, travelers enjoy tranquil views of the Pindar valley and distant snowy peaks of Trishul and Nanda Ghunti.
