Baisaran

Baisaran (universally celebrated as 'Mini Switzerland of India') is a sprawling hilltop alpine meadow located just five kilometers from Pahalgam town in Anantnag district. Perched at an elevation of 2,438 meters (8,000 feet) on a mountain shelf above the Lidder River, this scenic plateau is enclosed by dense forests of ancient pine, fir, and deodar trees, framed by the towering snow capped peaks of the Pir Panjal and Kolahoi mountain ranges.
