Aru Valley

Aru Valley is a pristine alpine river valley and scenic eco tourism village located twelve kilometers upstream from Pahalgam in Anantnag district. Perched at an altitude of 2,414 meters (7,920 feet) along the banks of the roaring Aru stream (a major tributary of the Lidder River), this scenic valley is the primary base camp for world famous trekking expeditions to Kolahoi Glacier, Tarsar Marsar Lakes, and Katrinag.
