Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan is one of the most revered pilgrimage destinations in India, located at an elevation of 5,200 feet in the Trikuta hills. Drawing millions of devotees from every corner of India, this sacred cave shrine sits just 13 km uphill from the base town of Katra in Jammu and Kashmir.
Inside the sanctum sanctorum, there are no sculpted statues. Instead, devotees witness three naturally formed rock peaks called the Holy Pindies representing Maha Kali, Maha Lakshmi, and Maha Saraswati. The sacred spring stream known as Charan Ganga washes the feet of the Mother Goddess inside the cave.
