According to regional lore, the young maiden deity paused here while climbing the Trikuta hills to look back and ensure Bhairon Nath was not harming devotees. As she turned, her footprints were permanently imprinted upon the mountain rock. Pilgrims bow before these divine marks to receive strength for their upward trek.
