Unlike the rest of Kaziranga where visitors are restricted to safari jeeps, Burapahar offers the park's only authorized walking trails through primary rainforest under the protection of trained forest rangers.

Birdwatchers frequently spot rare species including the Great Pied Hornbill, Wreathed Hornbill, Asian Fairy Bluebird, and emerald winged doves flitting through high fruit bearing fig trees.

Truth is, walking quietly along a jungle trail on foot while hearing the deep territorial grunts of a one horned rhino in nearby tall elephant grass gets your heart racing.

Jeep Safari Tracks & Wildlife Corridor

Rugged Jeep Safari: The 2 hour open 4x4 jeep safari route in Burapahar traverses rocky stream crossings, bamboo thickets, and wetland clearings teeming with swamp deer and wild boars.
