Kwani Bugyal is an expansive high altitude alpine meadow situated at an altitude of 3,328 meters (10,918 feet) above sea level in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. Perched approximately 12 km beyond the famous ski slopes of Auli and 6 km past Gurso Bugyal, this pristine, untouched pastureland is widely celebrated as one of the most rewarding trekking and camping destinations in the Garhwal Himalayas.
During the spring and summer months, the rolling slopes of Kwani Bugyal transform into a vibrant natural carpeted with colorful alpine wildflowers, medicinal herbs, and grazing flocks of sheep. The meadow commands sweeping, unobstructed 360 degree views of colossal Himalayan peaks including Mount Nanda Devi (7,816 m), Dunagiri (7,066 m), Kamet, and Mount Trishul. Trekkers exploring Auli(Uk) set up wilderness camps on the soft grassy knolls, enjoy dramatic sunrise photography, and continue onward along the scenic route toward Kuari Pass (Curzon Trail).
