Permit Processing & Expedition Planning from Gangtok

Permits from Gangtok: Trekkers obtain necessary wildlife entry passes and Protected Area Permits (PAP) from the Forest and Wildlife Department offices in Gangtok before heading to the Yuksom base camp.

Guided Expedition Rule: Independent unguided trekking inside the reserve is strictly prohibited; all trekking teams must be accompanied by certified local guides and porters.
