1795 AD Shakthan Palace & Kerala Dutch Nalukettu

Constructed in 1795 by King Rama Varma (Shakthan Thampuran), the creator of the world renowned Thrissur Pooram festival, the palace features a traditional two storey Nalukettu layout with open central courtyards.

The palace grounds house the sacred memorial tombs of Shakthan Thampuran and the legendary military commander Paliath Achan.
