Fueled by heavy western disturbances, Gulmarg receives several metres of light powder snow between December and March. The two tier Gondola cable car lifts skiers to 13,000 feet at Kongdoori and Apharwat Peak, unlocking vast alpine bowls, gladed forest runs, and groomed nursery slopes for learners.
