The Gulmarg Gondola is the second highest operating cable car in the world and the crowning tourist highlight of Gulmarg. Soaring from the resort bowl up to 13,780 feet on Mount Apharwat, it ferries thousands of travelers daily across the alpine heights of Jammu and Kashmir.
The cable car operates in two distinct stages. Phase 1 lifts passengers from Gulmarg base station (8,694 ft) to the pine ringed Kongdoori valley bowl (10,000 ft) in 10 minutes.
