8th Century Nath Lineage & Baba Mastnath Revival

According to historical records, the monastery was originally established in the 8th century AD by Guru Chauranginath, a direct disciple of Mahayogi Matsyendranath and Gorakhnath.

After falling into neglect during medieval invasions, the math was revived in 1741 AD by Baba Mastnath, who performed miraculous spiritual austerities and institutionalized community seva.
