Nanda Devi National park is trekked by hundreds of nature lovers following all the rules set for the visitors. Himalayan musk, Himalayan thar, Indian leopard and serow also reside happily in this wildlife sanctuary. 80 species of birds have made home in Nanda Devi National Park. Nanda Devi National Park has 312 species of plants among which 17 are considered rare. Nearby the Nanda Devi glacier, vegetation decreases. Alpine vegetation starts from Ramani glacier and junipers are mostly seen. Further away, grasses, mosses and lichens cover the area.
