Pachmarhi has been harmonized the status of Queen Satpura hill range. Heart capturing waterfalls, scenic sites, large mountain range and lush green hillocks stretch over 60 sq. km in dramatic natural splendor. It is the most visited hill station of India. This place was discovered by officer of the British reign, Captain James Forsyth in the year 1862. He got so much attracted towards the beauty of Nature in its purest form that he constructed the bison Lodge here. He wrote the book “The High Lands of Central India” in which he has described the beauty of Pachmarhi and its myriad expression.

Pachmarhi is highly indebted to Captain Forsyth for revealing this wonderland to the rest of the world and is all around development. The Britishers used to come to this place to enjoy the scenic beauty in Pachmarhi. Large number of visitors used to visit Pachmarhi throughout the year. During the summer time it’s good to come here and beat the heat. Nature has been extremely generous to Pachmarhi. With the Sunrise you will hear the chirping of birds, murmuring rivulets, waterfall and experience the hypnotic hills and shadowy trees. You can attain a spiritual peace in the beauty of Nature. T

Package Itinerary

Day 1: Pipariya - Pachmarhi

After you arrive at Pipariya railway station, you will be picked up by our representative and transferred to Pachmarhi. Check-in the hotel and after you freshen up, you can leave for local sightseeing.
Spend some quality time with your partner at scenic locations and enjoy this beautiful experience. Have a comfortable stay at night in the hotel.

Day 2: Pachmarhi

After Breakfast Set your day amidst the natural beauty of Pachmarhi. Visit sightseeing places like Priyadarshini (Forsyth Point), Bee Fall, Handi Khoh and Fairy pool. In the evening, explore the local market of the place. Have a comfortable stay at night in the hotel.

Day 3: Pachmarhi

After Breakfast You have tons of places to explore when you are in Pachmarhi. To take back the best experience, walk down this green destination in the morning and enjoy the scenic beauty. Continue with sightseeing at Chhota Mahadeo, Jata Shankar, Chauragarh and Dhoopgarh. Capture and take back with you the eternal romance of the place.

Day 4: Departure

After Breakfast Sadly, the tour ends here. Meet our representative who will help you make a move to the railway station. Board and head for the onward journey.

  • Itarsi Junction (Station Code: ET - 110 km / 2.5 hours): One of India's biggest rail junctions.

By Air:

  • Bhopal Raja Bhoj Airport (Airport Code: BHO - 195 km / 4.5 hours drive): Daily flights to Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Ahmedabad.
  • Jabalpur Airport (Airport Code: JLR - 260 km / 5.5 hours drive): Domestic flight connectivity.
  • Nagpur Airport (Airport Code: NAG - 250 km / 5 hours drive): Major international airport.

By Road:

  • From Bhopal (~195 km / 4.5 hours): Via NH-46 to Hoshangabad/Pipariya, then ascending scenic Matkuli Ghat Road.
  • From Pipariya (~47 km / 1.2 hours): Via SH-19 mountain highway.
  • From Jabalpur (~260 km / 5.5 hours): Via NH-45 through Gadarwara and Pipariya.
  • Local MP Forest permitted 4x4 open Gypsy vehicles are readily available for rent for forest zone sightseeing.

Places to Visit In Pachmarhi

Pachmarhi features cascading waterfalls, ancient rock caves, highest mountain peaks, and deep forest gorges:

1. Bee Falls / Jamuna Prapat (35-Meter Perennial Forest Waterfall & Rock Pools)

The most famous waterfall in Pachmarhi, tumbling 35 meters down a rocky cliff face into natural clear water pools. It supplies drinking water to the town and is a favorite spot for freshwater swimming and nature treks through Sal woodlands.

2. Jata Shankar Cave Temple (Sacred Stalactite Cavern Shrine of Lord Shiva)

A sacred subterranean cave temple located in a deep ravine shaded by massive cliffs. Naturally formed stalactite rock structures resemble the coiled matted hair (*Jata*) of Lord Shiva. A perennial freshwater spring emerges from the rocks below the deity.

3. Pandav Caves (Five 1st Century Buddhist Rock-Cut Caves & Ornamental Gardens)

Five rock cut caves carved into a low sandstone hill during the 1st century BC by Buddhist monks. Local legend also links these chambers to the Mahabharata heroes (the Pandavas) who sought refuge here during their exile (*Agyatvas*).

4. Dhoopgarh Peak & Sunset Point (Highest Point in Madhya Pradesh 1,352 m)

Soaring 1,352 meters (4,429 feet) above sea level, Dhoopgarh is the crowning summit of the Satpura Range and the highest elevation in all of Madhya Pradesh. It features panoramic sunset and sunrise decks overlooking vast valleys and undulating mountain ranges.

5. Handi Khoh Gorge & Chauragarh Peak (300-Foot Sheer Ravine & Trishul Shrine)

A dramatic horseshoe shaped ravine plunging 300 feet vertically into dense jungle canopies. Nearby stands Chauragarh, a sacred pilgrimage peak (1,326 m) crowned by a Shiva temple where thousands of giant iron tridents left by devotees line the temple compound.

6. Silver Fall / Rajat Prapat (350-Foot Single-Drop Silver Ribbon Waterfall)

The tallest waterfall in the Satpura Range, cascading straight down 350 feet (107 m) over a sheer cliff face. In the sunshine, the narrow torrent glistens like a pure silver ribbon against the red sandstone rocks.

7. Apsara Vihar & Irene Pool (Serene Natural Fairy Pool & Shallow Forest Stream)

A tranquil freshwater pool formed below a gentle cascading waterfall, ideal for family picnics, safe wading, and wading in clear shallow rock basins.

8. Reechgarh (Natural Sandstone Amphitheater & Giant Sloth Bear Cave Canyon)

A natural rock amphitheater and narrow canyon pass carved into sandstone boulders, historically inhabited by sloth bears (*Reech*), offering adventurous rock scrambling.

9. Satpura Tiger Reserve & Denwa Backwaters (Pristine Forest Safaris & Boat Rides)

A premier wildlife sanctuary surrounding Pachmarhi featuring open jungle safaris, walking safaris, canoeing, and motorboat rides on the sparkling Denwa River backwaters.
