Manjeshwar (celebrated across India as the sacred home of the ancient Shrimath Anantheshwara Temple and the cultural and spiritual capital of the Gowd Saraswat Brahmin community), situated along the scenic northernmost Arabian Sea coastline of Kerala just 24 km north of Kasaragod town in Kerala, is one of South India's most spiritually venerated, historically rich, and culturally unique coastal heritage towns.

Revered as the Kula Devata (presiding deity) of the Gowd Saraswat Brahmin (GSB) community, the temple enshrines Lord Shiva, Lord Narasimha, and Sree Subramanya.

The temple's colossal Rathas (wooden chariots named Brahma Ratha and Garuda Ratha) are carved with exquisite mythological reliefs and pulled by thousands during the annual Car Festival.

Truth is, witnessing the towering Brahma Ratha illuminated with thousands of oil lamps moving through the temple streets during night festivities is deeply moving.
