Santa Cruz Basilica

Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica (celebrated across India as one of the country's eight sacred minor basilicas and the grand cathedral seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Cochin), situated along Bastian Street in Fort Kochi just 12 km from Cochin city center in Kerala, is one of Kerala's most architecturally impressive, historically illustrious, and globally revered Christian pilgrimage destinations.

After being reconstructed in 1905, Pope John Paul II granted it the rare ecclesiastical honor of Basilica Minor in 1984 in recognition of its heritage.
