The Shanti Stupa constructed by a Japanese is very near to the town of Leh and is set on a steep hill top. Being at a height of about 4267 metres the place affords a magnificent panoramic view of Leh and the snow-clad mountains. The sunrise and sunset are worth-seeing from this Stupa.
