Madhyamaheshwar Temple (Madmaheshwar) is an ancient stone sanctuary sitting at an elevation of 3,497 meters (11,473 feet) in the Mansuna valley of Rudraprayag district in Uttarakhand. Revered as the fourth temple of the prestigious Panch Kedar pilgrimage circuit, the shrine is dedicated to Lord Shiva, where his navel (nabhi) and stomach are worshipped in the form of a sacred rock lingam.
Surrounded by high alpine meadows and framed against the dramatic snowy spires of Chaukhamba, the classic North Indian stone temple overlooks pristine river gorges. The scenic 16 km mountain trek from Ransi village passes through dense rhododendron and oak forests, waterfalls, and quaint Garhwal hamlets like Gaundhar and Bantoli. Hikers starting from Ukhimath also ascend an additional 1.5 km to Bura Madhyamaheshwar for unforgettable views of reflecting mountain pools.
