Phaltan — Travel Guide
Phaltan is a city, a taluka and a municipal council in Satara district in the Indian state of Maharashtra. The town is about 59 kilometres north-east of the city of Satara and about 110 km from Pune. While Satara receives heavy rainfall during monsoon making it extremely difficult to enjoy any tourist attractions, Phaltan is quite different. While Phaltan enjoys cloudy skies and pleasant weather, it does not rain too heavily here making it the perfect monsoon getaway. A drive from Mumbai will get you to Phaltan in 4-5 hours while Pune is just a convenient two-hour drive.
