Located amidst ancient deodar forests in the historic pilgrimage town of Gangolihat in Pithoragarh district, Haat Kalika Mandir (Maa Haat Kalika Temple) is one of the most revered Shakti shrines in Uttarakhand. Situated roughly 77 kilometers from Pithoragarh and 14 kilometers from the Patal Bhuvaneshwar limestone cave complex, this sacred site was consecrated in the eighth century by philosopher saint Adi Shankaracharya to channelize the fierce divine energy of Goddess Mahakali.
