The 7 Tiered Wooden Zandog Palri Masterpiece

The crowning artistic glory on the third floor of the monastery is the Sangthok Palri / Zandog Palri, a three dimensional wooden model depicting Guru Padmasambhava's heavenly Copper Colored Mountain abode.

Complete with miniature rainbow bridges, celestial bodhisattvas, mythical animals, and intricate multi level palaces, this hand painted masterpiece is considered one of the finest Buddhist wooden sculptures in Asia.

Rabdentse Palace Ruins & Forest Trail

Short Forest Walk: A scenic 1.5 km walking trail through chestnut and oak woods connects Pemayangtse directly with the ruins of Rabdentse, Sikkim's 17th century second royal capital.
