The 19th Century Maratha Architecture & Sculpted Shikharas

Unlike ordinary royal memorials, the Holkar Chhatris are designed as full fledged Hindu temples complete with sanctums (garbhagrihas), mandapas, and towering shikharas.

Bolia Sarkar Chhatri: Located 1 km downstream, this 1858 cenotaph built by Sardar Chimnaji Appa Bolia features ornate stone peacocks and delicate floral carvings.
