A group of seven fresh water lakes, a stash of nature's bounty and loads of migratory birds and panoramic vistas make this wonderful place called Sattal. A paradise for nature buffs and bird watchers, Sattal has mystery to it that makes it all the more charming and photographer's paradise. Situated in Kumaon Region at an elevation of 1370 m above the sea level, the area boasts of its cluster of seven interconnected lakes namely: Panna, Naldaymanti Tal, Ram, Sita, Lakshman, Bharat and Sukha Tal flanked by lush green cover of oaks and pines.

Package Itinerary

Day 1: Kathgodam - Sattal

Pick-up from Kathgodam Railway Station, drive to Sattal. check in at hotel & relax, evening free for individual activities. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 02: Sattal Local Sightseeing

Have your breakfast at the hotel. Visit to Sattal Local Sightseens, Sattal, a group of seven interrelated freshwater lakes, seven interconnected lakes namely: Panna, Naldaymanti Tal, Ram, Sita, Lakshman, Bharat and Sukha Tal, It is also a mini bird sanctuary with scores of migratory birds around the lakes and the pine and oak forest nearby. evening free for individual activities. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 03: Sattal - Kathgodam

After early breakfast, drive back to Kathgodam. On arrive Kathgodam, transfer to Railway Station.

Tour concludes but sweet memories remains

How to reach Sattal

By Train:

Kathgodam Railway Station (Station Code: KGM - 24 km south): The main rail terminus connecting Kumaon with New Delhi (Kathgodam Shatabdi Express, Ranikhet Express, Uttar Sampark Kranti Express), Lucknow, Kolkata, and Dehradun. Hill taxis and shared cabs reach Sattal in approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour via Bhimtal road.

By Air:

Pantnagar Airport (Airport Code: PGH - 62 km south): Nearest domestic airport operating flights from New Delhi and Dehradun. Hill cabs take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. For international flights, Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL - 295 km west) is connected via a smooth 6 hour drive along the Delhi Moradabad Kathgodam highway.

By Road:

From Delhi (~295 km / 6 to 6.5 hours):** Via Delhi Meerut Expressway, Hapur, Moradabad bypass, Rampur, Rudrapur, Haldwani, Kathgodam, Bhimtal, and Sattal.

From Nainital (~22 km / 45 minutes):** Via Bhowali and Bhimtal road.

From Bhimtal (~12 km / 25 minutes):** Direct forested mountain road.

Regular UTC and deluxe buses run from Anand Vihar ISBT (Delhi) to Kathgodam/Haldwani, where local cabs provide seamless mountain transfers.

Local Transport:

Taxis, shared jeeps, and walking trails connect Sattal lake cluster with Bhimtal, Bhowali, Naukuchiatal, and Kathgodam.
