Pick up from Dehradun Bus stand/ Railway station/ Air port and drop at Dhanaulti on arrival check in at hotel and over night stay hotel.



Day 2: Dhanaulti

Day 3: Dhanaulti– Dehradun
Check out from hotel and further transfer to Dehradun Railway station/ Bus stand / Air

How to reach Dhanaulti

By Air:

The nearest domestic airport is Dehradun Jolly Grant Airport (Airport Code: DED), located approximately 82 km southwest of Dhanaulti (around 3 hours scenic mountain drive via Rishikesh, Dehradun bypass, and Mussoorie). Regular scheduled flights connect Jolly Grant Airport to New Delhi (IGI), Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Ahmedabad. Alternatively, New Delhi International Airport (DEL) is 285 km away.

By Train:

Dehradun Railway Station (Station Code: DDN) is the closest railhead, situated 62 km from Dhanaulti (approximately 2.5 hours drive via Mussoorie). Prominent superfast trains connecting Dehradun include:

  • New Delhi – Dehradun Vande Bharat Express (Train 22457/22458): High-speed express connecting Anand Vihar, New Delhi, to Dehradun in just 4.5 hours.
  • New Delhi – Dehradun Shatabdi Express (Train 12017/12018): Daily morning express from New Delhi (NDLS) to Dehradun.
  • Dehradun Jan Shatabdi Express (Train 12055/12056): Daily afternoon express from New Delhi.
  • Mussoorie Express (Train 14041/14042): Daily overnight service from Old Delhi Junction (DLI).
  • Private and shared taxis operate round the clock from Dehradun Station to Mussoorie and Dhanaulti.

By Road:

Dhanaulti is smoothly connected with Delhi NCR, Dehradun, and Rishikesh via all-weather mountain highways:

  • From Delhi NCR (~285 km / 6 to 6.5 hours): Drive via the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway, Saharanpur bypass, Dehradun, Mussoorie, and Dhanaulti along the picturesque Mussoorie-Chamba highway.
  • From Mussoorie (~28 km / 1 hour): A scenic high-altitude mountain drive winding through thick deodar forests via Suwakholi and Bataghat.
  • From Rishikesh & Haridwar (~85 km / 3 hours): Drive via Narendra Nagar, Chamba, and Kaddu Khal to reach Dhanaulti.
  • State & Private Buses: Regular UTC buses and taxis operate between Dehradun ISBT / Mussoorie Picture Palace bus stand and Dhanaulti.

Developed by the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Mussoorie and managed by local village youth, Eco Park is divided into two serene forest enclosures named Amber and Dhara situated 200 meters apart. Surrounded by towering hundred-year-old deodar, oak, and silver fir trees, the park features cobblestone walking trails, wooden gazebos, children's play areas, herbal gardens, and panoramic view decks offering magnificent sunrise and sunset vistas across the Shivalik and Himalayan ranges.

2. Maa Surkanda Devi Temple (Sacred High-Altitude Shakti Peeth at 2,757 m — 8 km)

Perched on a lofty mountain summit at an elevation of 2,757 meters (9,045 feet) near Kaddu Khal (8 km from Dhanaulti), Surkanda Devi Temple is one of the sacred 51 Shakti Peethas of Goddess Sati (where the head / sir of Goddess Sati fell according to Hindu mythology).
