Complete Kumaon Itinerary is an itinerary that allows guests to explore popular hills station of himalayan hamlets of Kumaon including remote Himalayan areas of Chaukori, kausani. Enroute guest has option to visit some of the most renowned and remote temples of Kumaon such as Kausani, Berinag and Patal Bhubaneshwar. Patal Bhuvaneshwar, one of the most fascinating places of the Kumaon region, is a limestone cave temple 14 km from Gangolihat in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand state in India. It is located in the village Bhubneshwar. Kausani is nature’s own reverse, nestling among thick, dense pine forests atop a narrow ridge and separated from the towering mountains of the Nanda Devi range by low, medium mountains at Kausani.

Day 1 :- Delhi - Almora

Travel by surface from Delhi to Almora on arrival check in at hotel and over night stay hotel.

Day 2 :- Almora - Chaukori

Drive to Chaukori from Almora

Day 3 :- Chaukori - Patal Bhuvaneshwar - Chaukori

Today visit Patal Bhuvaneshwar evening back to Chaukori for over night stay.

Day 4 :- Chaukori - Kausani

After breakfast to Proceed to Kausani in over night stay hotel.

Day 5 :- Kausani - Delhi

By Train:

Kathgodam Railway Station (Station Code: KGM - 180 km south): The primary railway gateway connecting Kumaon with New Delhi (Kathgodam Shatabdi Express, Ranikhet Express, Uttar Sampark Kranti Express), Lucknow, Kolkata, and Dehradun. Hill taxis and shared cabs reach Chaukori in approximately 5.5 to 6.5 hours via Almora and Bageshwar along NH-309A.

By Air:

Pantnagar Airport (Airport Code: PGH - 225 km south): Nearest domestic airport operating flights from New Delhi and Dehradun. Hill cabs take approximately 6.5 to 7.5 hours. Naini Saini Airport (Pithoragarh - 85 km east) operates scheduled regional flights under the UDAN scheme.

By Road:

• From Delhi (~460 km / 11 to 12 hours): Via Delhi Meerut Expressway, Moradabad, Rampur, Haldwani, Kathgodam, Almora, Bageshwar, and Chaukori.
• From Almora (~110 km / 3.5 to 4 hours): Via Barechhina, Dhaulachhina, and Berinag.
• From Kausani (~75 km / 2.5 to 3 hours): Via Baijnath and Bageshwar route.
• From Nainital (~175 km / 5.5 hours): Via Bhowali, Almora, and Bageshwar.
• UTC and KMOU buses run daily from Anand Vihar ISBT (Delhi), Haldwani, and Almora to Berinag and Chaukori.

Local Transport:

Shared jeeps and private hill taxis connect Chaukori with Berinag, Gangolihat, Patal Bhuvaneshwar, Bageshwar, and Didihat.

3. Patal Bhuvaneshwar Subterranean Cave Temple & Sacred Underground Shrine (37 km)

An ancient, mystical limestone cave temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, located 37 km from Chaukori. Descending 90 feet through a narrow tunnel, the cavern features naturally formed stalactites and stalagmites representing 33 crore Hindu deities according to the Skanda Purana.
