According to the myths city got its name in British age, there was an elephant named PIL, and it was lost, when the queen soldiers were running here and there in search of the PIL (Elephant), village people used to ask what happened, they used to replied in short PIL Khuwa the place where the queen elephant was lost named Pilkhuwa. It is mainly included in Hapur city.
