Kagaznagar is a city in Adilabad district of Telangana. It is located at a distance of 118 km away from the district Headquarters Adilabad and 269 km away from the state capital Hyderabad. The city is populary called as Sirpur Kagaznagar. Sirpur and Kagaznagar are the twin cities of Adilabad. The city was named after “Kaghaz” paper mills. Kagaznagar is a historic town which was initially under the regime of Gond Kingdom with Kothapet as its Headquarters so it was called as Kothapeta in earlier days. The present town of Kagaznagar was founded by the 7th Nizam of Hyderabad named Sir Mir Osman Ali Khan Bahadur.
