Our tour will take you to some of the major tourist spots of Mahabaleshwar including Wilson Point, Lingmala Waterfalls, Old Mahabaleshwar Temple, Panchaganga Temple, Arthur's Seat and Venna Lake.

Mahabaleshwar bids a panoramic view of the surrounding land with magnificent peaks and deep green woods. This most captivating hill station is often said as the queen of hill stations in the state of Maharashtra. Today Mahabaleswar is well-known for its grandeur, the English first exposed the magical appeal and delicate landscapes and their pioneering ways brought about a severe change to this sleepy land and transformed it into a most sought after tourist destination in India. The hill station came in to existence in the year 1829-30, when it was made the summer capital of the former Bombay presidency.

Day 1: Mumbai - Mahabaleshwar

On arrival at Mumbai Airport or Railway Station. Proceed to Mahabaleshwar. On arrival check in to the hotel. Evening is free for relaxation and shopping. Overnight stay at Mahabaleshwar Hotel.

Day 2: Mahabaleshwar

After Breakfast, Visit to Old Mahabaleshwar, Panchganga Mandir, Lord Shiva Mandir, Author Seat Point, Echo Point, Tiger Spring, Castle Rock, Savitri Point, Monkey point, Elphiston Point, Kates Point, Echo Point, Needles Hole, Strawberry Garden, Ladwick Point, Elephant Head, Sunset Etc. Overnight Stay at Hotel.

Day 3: Mahabaleshwar

After breakfast, Proceed to visit Parapgadh Fort, bhavani Mandir, Pratap Garden and at Pachgani Tour - Parsi Point, Teble Land, Bhilar Waterfall (only Mansoon) Jam Factory etc. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 4: Mahabaleshwar - Mumbai

After breakfast, Check out from hotel and proceed back to Mumbai.

By Road from Pune & Mumbai (Primary Access Route):

• From Pune (~120 km / 2.5 to 3 hours): Via NH-48 (Pune Bengaluru Highway) to Surur, turning west through Wai, ascending Pasarni Ghat to Panchgani and continuing on SH-72 to Mahabaleshwar.
• From Mumbai (~260 km / 5 to 5.5 hours): Via Mumbai Pune Expressway to Pune bypass, continuing on NH-48 to Wai and Mahabaleshwar; or via NH-66 (Mumbai Goa Highway) through Mahad and Poladpur ascending Ambenali Ghat directly to Mahabaleshwar.
• From Panchgani (~19 km / 30 minutes): Smooth mountain ridge road on SH-72.
• Frequent MSRTC Ordinary, Asiad, and Shivshahi AC buses and private luxury Volvo coaches operate directly from Mumbai (Dadar, Borivali, Vashi) and Pune (Swargate, Station) to Mahabaleshwar ST Bus Stand.

By Train & Air:

1. Venna Lake & Waterfront Recreation Grounds (Historic 1842 Reservoir & Row Boating - 2 km)

A picturesque 28 acre freshwater lake constructed in 1842 by Appasaheb Maharaj, ruler of Satara. Surrounded by lush eucalyptus and pine trees, it is the center of tourist life in Mahabaleshwar offering vintage wooden rowboats, paddleboats, lakeside horseback rides, and food stalls serving hot sweet corn patties.

2. Arthur's Seat & Savitri Valley Abyss (The Queen of All Points at 1,470m - 13 km)

Perched at an elevation of 1,470 meters, Arthur's Seat is revered as the Queen of All Points. Named after Sir Arthur Malet who lost his wife and daughter in the Savitri river below, the viewpoint offers sheer 600 meter cliff drop views into the dense tiger woods of the Savitri valley with natural upward aerodynamic air drafts.

3. Pratapgad Fort & Shivaji Maharaj Memorial (1656 Maratha Mountain Citadel - 24 km)

A formidable hilltop fort built in 1656 by Prime Minister Moropant Pingle under the orders of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Famous as the historic site of the Battle of Pratapgad (1659) where Shivaji Maharaj defeated the Bijapur general Afzal Khan. Features massive stone bastions, Bhavani Temple, and a 17 foot bronze equestrian statue of Shivaji Maharaj.

4. Mahabaleshwar Temple & Panchganga Mandir (16th-Century Origin of 5 Sacred Rivers - 6 km)

An ancient religious sanctuary in Old Mahabaleshwar (Kshetra Mahabaleshwar) built in the 16th century by the Chanda Rao More dynasty in Hemadpanthi stone style. Panchganga Mandir features a stone carved cow mouth (*Gaumukh*) from which the waters of five holy rivers (Krishna, Koyna, Venna, Savitri, and Gayatri) continuously flow into holy tanks.

5. Lingmala Waterfall & Venna Forest Gorge (Tiered 600ft Forest Cascade - 6 km)

A spectacular perennial waterfall located on the Mahabaleshwar Pune road. Features a lower tier pool safe for swimming and an awe inspiring main cascade plummeting nearly 600 feet down sheer basalt cliffs into the Venna Valley, surrounded by dense evergreen woods.

6. Wilson Point / Sunrise Point (Highest 1,439m Plateau Peak & 3 Watchtowers - 2 km)

Named after Sir Leslie Wilson (Governor of Bombay), Wilson Point is the highest geographic point in Mahabaleshwar at 1,439 meters elevation. Features three masonry observation towers offering spectacular 360 degree sunrise panoramas across the Sahyadri ranges.

7. Kate's Point & Elephant's Head Point (Needle Hole Natural Rock Arch - 7 km)

A premier cliff lookout at 1,290 meters elevation named after Sir John Malcolm's daughter. Presents a stunning natural rock formation resembling an elephant's head and trunk, along with an overhanging natural needle eye arch overlooking the Dhom reservoir.

8. Elphinstone Point & Lodwick Point (Savitri and Koyna Valley Vista - 12 km)

Historic cliff lookouts discovered in the 1830s offering vertigo inducing views of the deep ravines where the Savitri and Koyna rivers originate, featuring a 25 foot monument honoring General Lodwick.

9. Tapola Lake & Koyna River Backwaters (The Mini-Kashmir of Maharashtra - 28 km)

A tranquil rustic village located 28 km from Mahabaleshwar at the confluence of the Koyna and Solshi rivers. Known as the Mini Kashmir of Maharashtra, offering speedboating, water scooters, kayaking, and jungle treks into the Vasota Fort wilderness.
