Package Itinerary

Day 1 Cochin - Munnar (135 Km / 4.5 Hrs)

On arrival Cochin airport meet our representative and get transferred to Munnar. On arrival, check in at hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure trekking around tea estate. Overnight stay at Munnar. Munnar is situated at the confluence of three mountain streams - Muthirapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala, and perched about 1600 m above sea level, the hill station of Munnar once used to be the summer resort of the erstwhile British administration in south India. This hill station is marked by vast expanses of tea plantations, colonial bungalows, rivulets, waterfalls and cool weather. It is also an ideal destination for trekking and mountain biking.

Day 2 In Munnar

After morning breakfast proceed for sightseeing trip of Munnar visiting the Eravikulam National Park where you can see the very rare mountain goats locally called the Nilgiri Thar, the Mattupetty Dam & Dairy Farm, Old Munnar Town, the town market etc. Rest of the day at leisure and enjoy another, Overnight stay at Munnar.

Day 3 Munnar - Alleppey (160 Kms / 5 Hrs)

After morning breakfast, Proceed to Alleppey. On arrival Check into the houseboat.. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at the houseboat. Alleppey or Alappuzha is the Venice of the East; It is famous for its boat races, backwater holidays, beaches, marine products and coir industry. Alappuzha beach is a popular picnic spot. The pier, which extends into the sea here, is over 137 years old. Entertainment facilities at the Vijaya Beach Park add to the attraction of the beach. There is also an old lighthouse nearby which is greatly fascinating to visitors.

Day 4 Alleppey - Kovalam (190 Kms / 5 Hrs)

After breakfast check out from the hotel & get transferred to Kovalam. Arrive at Kovalam check in into the hotel. Evening is free or spend time at Beach. Overnight stay at Kovalam. Kovalam is an internationally renowned beach with three adjacent crescent beaches. It has been a favorite haunt of tourists, Sunbathing, swimming, herbal body toning massages, special cultural programmes and catamaran cruising are some of them. The tropical sun acts so fast that one can see the faint blush of coppery tan on the skin in a matter of minutes. Life on the beach begins late in the day and carries on well into the night. The beach complex includes a string of budget cottages, Ayurvedic health resorts, and convention facilities, shopping zones, swimming pools, Yoga and Ayurvedic massage centers.

Day 5 In Kovalam

After breakfast proceed for a sightseeing of Thiruvananthapuram covering Museum complex, Padmanabha Swamy Temple, Science & Technology museum, Veli Tourist village, Aakulam boat club, Shangmugham Beach. Later back to Kovalam. Overnight stay at hotel in Kovalam.

Day 6 Kovalam – Trivandrum Departure

Morning enjoy in your buffet breakfast and get transfer to Trivandrum airport for your onward journey.

The nearest airport is Cochin International Airport (Airport Code: COK), located 110 km west of Munnar (approximately 3.5 hours drive via National Highway NH-85 / Kochi-Dhanushkodi Highway). Cochin Airport provides direct domestic and international flights connecting New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, and Singapore. Pre-paid airport taxis and rental cars are available around the clock. Alternative airports include Madurai Airport (IXM - 140 km / 4 hours) and Coimbatore International Airport (CJB - 165 km / 4.5 hours).

By Train:

The closest major railway stations serving Munnar are:

  • Aluva Railway Station (Station Code: AWY - 110 km / 3.5 hours): The most convenient railhead for travelers arriving from northern and central India, bypassing city traffic.
  • Ernakulam Junction / Town (Station Code: ERS/ERN - 125 km / 4 hours): Major Southern Railway hub served by the Kasaragod-Trivandrum Vande Bharat Express, Kerala Express (Train 12625/12626 from New Delhi), Mangala Lakshadweep Express, and Bangalore-Ernakulam Intercity.

1. Eravikulam National Park & Anamudi Peak (Nilgiri Tahr Sanctuary)

A UNESCO World Heritage site spanning 97 sq km of high-altitude rolling grasslands and shola forests, Eravikulam National Park is the natural sanctuary for the largest surviving population of the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. State-operated safari buses take visitors to the Rajamalai plateau, offering up-close wildlife sightings and dramatic views of the soaring 2,695-meter Anamudi Peak.

2. Sprawling Munnar Tea Gardens & Tata Tea Heritage Museum

Located at the KDHP Nallathanni Estate, the Tata Tea Museum chronicles Munnar's fascinating evolution from an untamed wilderness into an empire of tea. 3. Mattupetty Dam, Storage Reservoir & Speedboating Waters

Situated 13 km east of Munnar at an elevation of 1,700 meters, Mattupetty Dam is a solid concrete gravity dam constructed in the late 1940s. The sprawling reservoir is encircled by lush tea slopes, where visitors enjoy thrilling speedboating, pontoon boat rides, and frequent glimpses of wild elephant herds drinking at the water's edge.

4. Top Station & Theni Valley 1,700-Meter Cloud Viewpoint (32 km)

Perched on the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border at an altitude of 1,700 meters, Top Station was the historic upper terminus of the Kundala Valley Ropeway built in 1908 to transport tea down to Kottagudi. Today, it offers a legendary panoramic viewpoint where visitors stand above the clouds, gazing across the expansive Theni plains and Western Ghat ridges.

5. Attukal Cascading Waterfalls & Lush Jungle Trekking Trails

Located 9 km from Munnar on the route to Pallivasal, Attukal Waterfalls is a dramatic, roaring cascade tumbling through thick subtropical forests and rocky boulders. The wooden suspension bridge opposite the waterfall provides spectacular angles for photography and marks the trailhead for scenic mountain treks.

8. Pothamedu Viewpoint & Cardamom Plantation Panoramic Overlook

Located 5 km southwest of Munnar, Pothamedu Viewpoint offers wide-angle vistas of tea, coffee, and cardamom plantations cascading into the Muthirapuzha River valley, with the winding Mattupetty road visible in the distance.

9. Marayoor Natural Sandalwood Forests & Ancient Muniyara Dolmens (40 km)

A short drive north toward Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary brings visitors to Marayoor, famous for its wild natural sandalwood forest reserve, traditional sugarcane jaggery making (*Marayoor Sharkkara*), and megalithic stone burial chambers (*Muniyara Dolmens*) dating back to the Neolithic age.
