Hazaribagh city lies in the state of Jharkhand. The name Hazaribagh literally translates to a thousand gardens. Hazaribagh is situated at an elevation of 200ft.The state of Jharkhand consists about 45% of the forest covers and hence the entire area of Hazaribagh is laden with lush green surroundings. The place has abounding flora and fauna. The town is situated on the north-eastern side of the Chotanagpur plateau. Being of highly religious significance, the place has a mesmerising scenic charm. Hazaribagh has also found a place in the Indian history. Apart from being a dwelling for many Jain temples, Hazaribagh also served as a cantonment for some years during the British-Raj. Therefore the old city of Hazaribagh happens to be a well-planned city.



Hazaribagh, Literally meaning a thousand gardens. Hazaribagh is a famous health resort situated on a height of a 2019 ft. above sea. It has excellent climate and scenic beauties all around it in the midst of dense forest which is quite rich in flora and fauna. The Hazaribagh plateau has on its eastern margin, Parasnath - the highest hill in the Bihar, rising to a height of 4480 feet. The loftiness here is of another order.
