Thangadh is an industrial town and a municipality located southwest of Surendranagar in Surendranagar district in the Indian state of Gujarat. A large number of small-scale Ceramic manufacturing units are located around Thangadh. Thangadh, Wankaner and Morbi form the Ceramic triangle. Chief products are Sanitaryware, such as Wash Basins and Water Closets, and Glazed Wall Tiles. Tarnetar is 10 km away. A fair, Mela in Gujarati, is held every year around first week of Bhadarva(Hindu Month) there and attracts tourists from all-over India and world. The fair showcases the colourful and vibrant culture of the Saurashtra region.



The Vasuki Mandir is situated in Than. Small miniature shrines dedicated to the Snake-God have been built in Surendranagar and the adjoining place. Vasuki-Bhandiyabeli, Chandra Lipya-Shapar-Nagadka are the important ones. Vasuki Takshak - Shesh was the chief of the Naga-Sarp ancestry and Vasuki was the ancestral god of the royal Lakthar family of Than.
