Tirupati is one of the most highly revered places in India. It lies on the foothills of the Tirumala Hills- a chain of seven beautiful hills that are considered to be second oldest rock mountains in the world. Hundreds of temples dot the landscapes of Tirupati, out of which Venkateswara Swamy Temple is the richest and the most important. Dedicated to Lord Venkateswara, this temple is recorded as one of the busiest pilgrimage centres in the world. Tirupati, which means 'holy mountains', boasts of an interesting history, as well.

Package Itinerary

Day 01- Chennai (Arrival)

Arrive at Chennai and meet our representative to get the assisted transfer to the hotel. Go on a sightseeing tour covering Snake Park, Marine Beach and other major tourist attractions in Chennai. Overnight stay at hotel in Chennai.

Day 02- Chennai - Tirupati

After morning. On arriving at Tirupati, transfer to the hotel. Tirupati is the most frequented pilgrimage destinations in the country. It is dedicated to Lord Vekateshwara (Balaji). Overnight stay in Tirupati.

Day 02 - Tirupati - Chennai

After Morning Breakfast. Drive to Chennai, get transferred to the hotel. Enjoy leisure and individual activities in the evening. Overnight stay in Chennai.

Day 04 - Departure

After breakfast, check out from the hotel. Later get transferred to the railway station/ airport.

  • Renigunta Junction (Station Code: RU - 10 km): Major junction on Chennai Mumbai and Howrah Chennai lines.

By Air:

By Road:

  • From Chennai (~135 km / 3 hours): Via 4 lane NH-716 through Tiruttani and Renigunta.

  • From Hyderabad (~550 km / 9 hours): Via NH-44 and NH-40 through Kurnool and Kadapa.
  • APSRTC, KSRTC, and SETC run AC Volvo buses from Chennai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad to Tirupati Central Bus Station every 10 minutes.
  • Electric and diesel Tirumala buses operate every 2 minutes from Tirupati railway station up the scenic ghat road to Tirumala hilltop.

1. Tirumala Sri Venkateswara Temple (Ananda Nilayam Gold Vimanam & Srivari Balaji Sanctum)

The crown jewel of Indian pilgrimage resting atop the sacred Venkatadri hill of the Seshachalam range. Dedicated to Lord Venkateswara (Balaji), this Dravidian architectural masterpiece features the gold plated Ananda Nilayam dome, the holy Swami Pushkarini lake, and divine Laddu prasadam distributed to millions of devotees.

2. Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple Tiruchanur (Divine Consort Shrine & Padma Sarovaram)

Located 5 km from Tirupati town in Tiruchanur. Dedicated to Goddess Padmavathi (Alamelu Manga), the divine consort of Lord Venkateswara. Tradition dictates that a pilgrimage to Tirupati is incomplete without offering prayers at this serene temple and holy tank.

3. Kapila Theertham & Waterfalls (Sacred Shiva Cave Temple & Mountain Stream Cascades)

The only major temple dedicated to Lord Shiva situated at the base of the Tirumala hills. A natural mountain stream cascades from high granite cliffs directly into the temple pushkarini, creating a breathtaking spiritual ambiance named after sage Kapila Maharishi.

4. Chandragiri Fort & Raja Mahal (11th Century Vijayanagara Royal Palace & Sound and Light Show)

An 11th century fort built by the Yadava rulers and later fortified as the fourth capital of the Vijayanagara Empire. The majestic Raja Mahal, built using stone, brick, and lime mortar without timber, is a triumph of Indo Saracenic architecture housing an archaeological museum.

5. Sri Kalahasti Temple (Pancha Bhoota Vayu Lingam & Rahu Ketu Sthalam - 35 km)

An ancient temple on the banks of the Swarnamukhi River representing the Vayu (Air) element among the Pancha Bhoota Sthalams. The sanctum lamp flickers constantly due to the air lingam, and the temple is world renowned for Rahu Ketu Sarpa Dosha Nivarana pujas.

6. Silathoranam & Chakra Theertham (Precambrian 2.5-Billion Year Natural Rock Arch on Tirumala)

A rare natural rock arch formation on Tirumala hill dating back to the Precambrian period over 2.5 billion years ago. It is recognized as a National Geological Monument connected to mythology as Lord Venkateswara's entry point.

7. Akasa Ganga, Papavinasam & Japali Hanuman Theertham (Holy Mountain Springs on Tirumala)

Sacred mountain springs on Tirumala whose holy waters are used daily for Srivari Abhishekam. Taking a holy dip at Papavinasam is believed to wash away all earthly sins.
